How it works:
Most frost-free refrigerators use an automatic
timer to activate the defrost heater approximately every
eight hours to clear frost build up on the freezer evaporator.
During the defrost cycle, the heater generates heat
in the evaporator section from
0ºF to 75ºF, lasting up to 30 minutes,
